Occupational Health and Safety Policy

People are an important asset in supplying telecommunications technical services and skills to our clients. Therefore their health and safety is the responsibility of all our Management, Staff, Contractors, Suppliers and Clients.

At Datateks, we have a commitment to eliminate injury and illness in the work environment by:

  • Identify hazards and assisting in eliminating or controlling them
  • Establish measurable objectives and targets
  • Continued improvement of performance, and
  • Comply with relevant legislation and other requirements
These will be documented and reviewed as required by our staff in our integrated management system so that it remains relevant and appropriate.

This Policy is available for perusal by employees and interested parties in our Office or via DATATEKS web site.

Our management system shall comply with AS/NZS ISO 4801:2001 Occupational health and safety management systems – specification with guidance for use.

Environmental Policy

At DATATEKS, we take seriously our responsibility to care for and protect the environment in which we operate. We are fully committed to:

  • Minimising our impact on environmental aspects by our business activities, products and services
  • Complying with applicable legal and other requirements Preventing pollution, and
  • Continual improvements to the integrated management system
Environmental aspects include:
  • Physical – Soil, water and air
  • Biological – Flora, fauna, re-vegetation, noxious weeds, bio diversity, natural conservation
  • Cultural and Heritage, and
  • Social and economical – Community interaction
The environmental objectives and targets will be set out, documented and reviewed as part of our integrated management system.

This policy is available for perusal in our Office or via Datateks web site for the public, interested parties, all people working for and on behalf of Datateks.

Our integrated management system shall comply with the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 Environmental management systems – requirements with guidance for use.

Quality Policy

Our mission is to supply telecommunications technical services and skills to our clients.

We aim for Client satisfaction from our activities and recognise the importance of a well planned approach to our clients and their network environments. To assist DATATEKS achieve this, management along with staff have a commitment to:

  • Establishing and reviewing quality objectives for the company and its operations
  • Continued improvement to the effectiveness of our integrated management system, and
  • Comply with legal and other requirements
This policy and the quality of our services shall be achieved by using the established DATATEKS procedures in our integrated management system. This includes reviewing against our objectives for suitability and currency.

The procedures will be communicated and discussed within Datateks by meetings and toolboxes. A copy of current procedures will be kept on our fileserver and in the integrated management system folder within the Office.

The implementation of our integrated management system will comply with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System – requirements.
